Carrot Cake...ain't nothing wrong with that!!

This evening we are heading to dinner with family that I haven't seen in years. I am of the opinion dessert is always welcome even when the hostess says she doesn't need you to bring anything. However, after scouring the pantry I realized my available ingredients limited me. I found this recipe for carrot cake on marthastewart.com and got to work during nap time. As I type the smell of it baking is filling up my little house with yummy goodness. I don't care one bit that it smells a bit like fall.... yummy is yummy!!
